A pertinent and horrifying post. It didn't look good from the start but there was that hope, so dramatically dashed with the second explosion at the mine near Greymouth. Glad that you posted this memorial.
Terribly sad thing that happened here. When are mining companies going to start taking their employees safety seriously, and not blame the rescue workers' miscalculation.

ReplyDeleteMy dad used to work in the mines in Germany before he retired and I can only imagine what these families are going through. Very sad.
